Dr. Neil Chen, a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, opened his practice in 1996 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a mission to provide the very best care and personal attention to his patients. Dr. Chen graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed extensive training at Massachusetts General Hospital and UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Christopher Knotts, also a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, joined Plastic Surgery Institute of New Mexico in 2020. A native New Mexican, Dr. Knotts graduated from University of New Mexico Medical School and did residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and fellowship at Hunstad-Kortesis Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Charlotte, NC. He practiced exclusively cosmetic surgery for 7 years at Austin-Weston Center for Cosmetic Surgery in the Washington DC area before returning home to New Mexico.

Dr. Jeffry Wu, also a Board-Certified and fellowship-trained Plastic Surgeon, joined our practice in 2025 after 9 years in the Plastic Surgery Department in University of New Mexico. Dr. Wu completed a general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut, plastic surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and asthetic fellowship at the Bitar Cosmetic Surgery Institute. Dr. Wu has double board-certifications from the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Plastic Surgery.
